• WhatsApp Phone Number: To send you moments and process your commands
• Province Preferences: To send relevant local content
• Messages You Send: Content you share for potential broadcast
• Subscription Status: Whether you're opted in or out

What We DON'T Collect

• Your name or personal identity
• Your location beyond province selection
• Your contacts or WhatsApp profile
• Individual reading or engagement tracking
• Browsing history or device information

How We Use Your Data

• Message Delivery: Send moments to your WhatsApp based on your province preferences
• Content Moderation: Review submitted content for safety and relevance
• Aggregate Analytics: Track total subscribers and broadcasts (not individual behavior)
• Service Improvement: Understand what content serves communities best

Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We only share information when:

• Required by South African law
• Necessary to prevent harm or illegal activity
• You explicitly consent to sharing

Your Rights (POPIA Compliance)

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

• Correction: Update your province preferences anytime
• Deletion: Send "STOP" to unsubscribe and delete your data

Data Security

• Secure WhatsApp Business API
• Access controls limiting who can view data
• Regular security audits

Data Retention

• Active Subscribers: Data retained while you're subscribed
• Unsubscribed Users: Data deleted within 30 days of "STOP" command
• Broadcast Logs: Aggregate stats retained for 12 months

Third-Party Services

We use these trusted services:

• WhatsApp Business API (Meta): Message delivery
• Supabase: Database and storage

Each service has its own privacy policy. We choose partners committed to data protection.

Children's Privacy

Moments is designed for adults 18+. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We'll notify subscribers of major privacy policy changes via WhatsApp broadcast.
