How We Use Your Data
- Message Delivery: Send moments to your WhatsApp based on your preferences
- Content Filtering: Match content to your province and interests

- Moderation: Review submitted content for safety and relevance
- Compliance: Meet legal requirements under POPIA and WhatsApp policies
What We DON'T Do
- Never sell your data to third parties
- Never track individual reading behavior
- Never share your phone number with sponsors or partners
- Never use your data for advertising outside our service
Data Retention Schedule
Active Subscribers
- All subscription data retained while you're opted in
- Messages you send retained for 90 days or until processed
- No automatic deletion while subscribed
After Unsubscribing (STOP Command)
- Day 0: Subscription marked as inactive
- Day 1-30: Data retained for potential re-subscription
- Day 30: All personal data permanently deleted
- Aggregate stats: Retained (no personal identifiers)
Broadcast Analytics
- Total subscribers count: Retained indefinitely
- Broadcast success rates: 12 months
- Regional engagement: 12 months (aggregate only)
- Individual delivery logs: 30 days
Data Security
We protect your data using:
- Encryption: All data encrypted at rest and in transit
- Access Controls: Limited staff access, role-based permissions
- Secure Infrastructure: Supabase (SOC 2 compliant)
- Regular Audits: Security reviews and updates
- WhatsApp Business API: Meta's secure messaging platform
Your Rights (POPIA)
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, you can:
